How Sizzle Academy Started...
Moving thousands of miles away from his family, Drew Suggs made the life changing decision at the age of 16 to move from Minnesota to the Valley of the Sun!
Drew continued his athletic career and began working on his passion as a mentor in the valley. He volunteered at recreational centers around the valley and spent time mentoring the youth.
Catherine Suggs was a small-town girl raised in Nogales, AZ. She had a passion to work with the youth since she was the age of 14. Catherine grew up working in afterschool programs and always had a passion to help better the community. She wanted to help the Chandler community and took her role at the Executive Administrator at ICAN, in Chandler, AZ. With her knowledge in both the afterschool programming and with non-profits, they realized that they shared the same passion. They wanted to create something that could serve a substantial number of members.
Years down the line, Drew met his wife Catherine while working with the youth at a community center. Catherine had tons of experience and made the change to move into the non-profit world.
Sharing the same passion, Catherine and Drew began making their dream come true. This dream was to be able to provide NO COST services to all demographics and provide an opportunity to not only the youth but their entire FAMILY.
Sizzle Academy was created to provide a NO COST academic and athletic programming for the community and student athletes we serve. We take athletes and help them change into STUDENT ATHLETES. We help with developing players to play on development, recreation, and club teams. Allowing mentors to help serve not only the youth, but an entire community!

His unique background in the public and private sectors help the team build and execute strategic plans. Whether it be working on a statewide campaign or at the legislature bringing opposing parties to a resolution, Blaze is a mission oriented leader who thrives on making his community a better place. An Arizona native and graduate from ASU, Blaze enjoys spending time with his wife and training for triathlons.

Kyndra, is a Digital Activation Manager at Intel Corporation within the Sales and Marketing Group. Prior to that role she was a Senior Manager of Marketing-Technology at Ideas Collide and served as the firm’s Senior Advisor on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Over her 10 years in marketing she has worked on national marketing automation

She graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Arts in both Journalism and Communication. Kyndra has served and worked along side many non-profits and served on non-profit/corporate guidance councils including most recently with Playworks Arizona. Her passion and energy is contagious, with a natural ability to lead and influence. She is a huge sports fan and is always active in the outdoors or on many travel adventures
